Labor market after the COVID-19 pandemic: Changes and solutions

Thai Nguyen University (TNU) hosted the first dissemination conference of the LAB-MOVIE project on 21 June 2022, with the participation of the other Vietnamese and European partners.
The dissemination event focused on the topic Labor market after the COVID-19 pandemic: Changes and solutions
71 students of Thai Nguyen faculty of Economics and Business Administration and 35 professors of the same faculty attended the conference.
The conference was also the occasion for Thai Nguyen University and Hanoi Association of Small and medium enterprises to sign a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation among University and businesses.
The first roundtable saw the discussion of 4 representatives from:
● Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HASME)
● Thai Nguyen Provincial Tourism Association
● Thai Nguyen University – University of Economics and Business Administration (TUEBA)
● University of Padova (Italy)
about the following topics:
Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and businesses
Opportunities and challenges for businesses, especially service businesses
Changes in the labour market after the COVID-19 pandemic (Social demand for labour;
Orientation for labour market development; Requirements for knowledge, skills and qualities of
workers, etc.)
Impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on higher education, Changes in development orientations,
strategies and policies of higher education institutions to meet social needs and market
requirements after the COVID-19 pandemic
From the business side, what are the solutions to connect with the University
All guests discussed the topic: lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic, what do we need to do to prepare for another change or another epidemic in the future?
On the second part of the conference, about training and developing high-quality human resources after the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a roundtable with 4 representatives from:
● Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU)
● Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)
● Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI)
● University of Salamanca (Spain)
